WHY LEARN TO DANCE?
Learning to dance in any style is a great way to help keep the brain active and the body moving. Body strength and core control can improve through dance and therefore coordination and balance will improve. Self confidence and self expression can be improved and you will often make new friends in classes.
WHAT IS DANCE FITNESS?
Dance Fitness and Zumba Fitness are dance based fitness classes where you will burn lots of calories and sweat.. a lot. The routines are choreographed to give everyone the chance to dance but also add their own flair and own the dance floor. The music is fun and inspiring which really helps get the body moving and raising the heart rate. Beto - creator of Zumba - says 'Ditch the workout, join the party'.
OUR DANCE CLASSES
FloFitness offers Zumba Fitness, Zumba Gold, Dance Fitness and Dance Mix Gold classes. These classes are designed to be upbeat and inspiring to help you get your body moving, burning calories and having fun whilst exercising. The routines only change every couple of weeks so you can get to learn them and really get into the music and the movement.
WHAT ARE GOLD CLASSES?
Zumba Gold and Dance Mix Gold are very much the same as a dance fitness class just with a slightly slower tempo, less jumps and sometimes smaller movements. You will still do all the same styles of dances and more, you will still raise the heartrate, burn calories, shake, shimmy and sweat. These classes are perfect for the older active adult.
LEARN A ROUTINE
We offer workshops where you can learn a routine in a 90 minute lesson. The routines are choreographed or adapted if they are based on repertoire to suit everyone dancers and non dancers. The idea behind them is to have fun, learn to dance, feel good about yourself and burn some calories. Keep an eye out for the next workshop.
